Topic: Investigator Safety
Presenter: Eric Schmucker
Eric Schmucker will be discussing overall investigator safety, specifically addressing the following subjects: safely conducting surveillance and interviews, process server safety, and investigations in high crime or otherwise unsafe neighborhoods. He will talk about analyzing a target from a safety standpoint, as well as how to plan for serving process; how to conduct interviews or investigations and remain safe, and what steps we can take to ensure we remain in a position of situational control.
Meet Eric Schmucker
Mr. Schmucker has over 25 years of federal service in his career. He was as a Force Reconnaissance Marine and he was also a Deputy US Marshal. He’s served more than 500+ pieces of process and encountered all types of scenarios in doing so. Mr. Schmucker has had extensive training and experience in fugitive apprehension, which means he is well-versed at safely navigating unfamiliar and unsafe neighborhood/situations, conducting interviews with individuals with a violent or criminal history, and how to plan for a safe surveillance.
