Virtual Machines for PIs in OSINT Investigations

Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops and have VMWare installed on their machines prior to arriving.

This is an entry level class into how to use basic Linux commands in a Linux OS. This class is geared towards using a custom OSINT Linux distribution virtual machine. During this class we will install a virtual environment and set up the basic configurations. You do not have to be familiar with Linux to do this.

Attendees should have VMWare installed on their machines prior to arriving to this class. Attendees that use Macs will have to purchase VMWare Fusion as there is no free version for Macs. Windows users can download VMWare Workstation Player v for free (or VMWare Workstation Pro for cost).

Time provided; we will also be showcasing some tools for use in a Linux environment to demonstrate how information can be found using more than website databases.
