Investigator Safety
Speaker- Robin Brown
The notion of Investigator Safety embraces many areas of risk management we often overlook, minimize or simple assume. In this session, we will discuss the personal and employee safety in these and other arenas:
Robin C. Brown
Raised in the Southwest, he completed his undergraduate work in Accounting. After flying for the USAF during the Viet Nam era, he was recruited to the FBI and served as a Supervisory Special Agent, retiring after 23 years of service. His assignments included managing the Crisis Management Center at FBIHQ and the covert aviation program. He spent a few years in undercover assignments. Thereafter, he worked in the corporate sector managing domestic and international security departments. He earned a master’s degree in Security Management and more than 10 certifications in the security sector. He has two certifications in Crime Prevention through Environmental Design. He taught criminal justice and forensic psychology courses in a graduate program here in Denver. He served more than 15 years as the Director of Security for the University of Colorado’s medical campus. He served as an SME for university security and high-risk mitigation in various settings in Colorado. He has advised on campus, library, gallery, and personal security issues. A licensed Private Investigator, he has conducted corporate and contracted investigations for the past 20 years. A family man with 22 grandchildren he enjoys time with them. He is an incurable bibliophile, with 4,000 volumes in his library.
