Forensic Testimonial Interviewing:
Forensic Testimonial Evidence Recovery (FTI-FTER)
This course introduces the concepts of FTER - Forensic Testimonial Evidence Recovery.
The study regiment builds upon and enhances theories and concepts of investigative interviewing covered in the introductory Component Method training. Investigative interviewing discussed as it relates to the process of criminal defense. Practical issues, such as the significance of sworn statements and witness interviewing strategies, are covered, as are the purpose and theory behind Kinesic interviewing, cognitive interviewing, standard law enforcement interviews, and visual imagery techniques. Other practical and theoretical issues relevant to the role of the criminal defense investigator are also addressed. The significance of interviewing to obtain “testimonial evidence” from a forensic perspective is emphasized.
Payment is required at the time of registration.
This is a full-day course, to be held at the Adam’s County Human Services Center (11860 Pecos Street, Westminster CO 80234.) This event is a day before the NALI conference (June 12-13.)
Upon successful completion of a test (see below) there is a Certification awarded.
There is NO testing fee or Certification Fee for a limited time after this seminar. That's a $275.00 savings!

Certification Information
*There is a book that is not required for the seminar, but is required for certification testing. If you do not have the book, you cannot take the test.
The cost of the book through Amazon is $38. The cost through PPIAC (last day to order through PPIAC is May 30) is $25, to be paid at the same time as registration.

Speaker: Jeff Roberts
Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition
Executive Director Jeffrey A. Roberts worked in journalism and public policy before coming to the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition in July 2013.
He was at The Denver Post from 1984-2007 as a reporter, assistant city editor and data journalism specialist on The Post’s projects team and later spent four years at the University of Denver’s Center for Colorado’s Economic Future. Early in his career, Roberts was a reporter at the News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northwestern University.
Roberts is also board president of the National Freedom of Information Coalition.

Mr. Roberts will be continuing his incredibly popular workshop from last year on the Colorado Open Records Act and the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act.
